GoSkills modern slavery policy

Introduction

GoSkills is committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking and to ensuring that our supply chains and business activities are free from any form of modern slavery. This modern slavery policy reflects our promise to act ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Scope

This policy applies to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, volunteers, agents, contractors, external consultants, third-party representatives, and business partners.

Definitions

“Modern slavery” encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labor. GoSkills has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting professionally and with integrity in all its business dealings.

Policy principles

  1. Risk assessment
    • Conduct regular risk assessments to determine areas of potential exposure in our operations and supply chains.
    • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  2. Due diligence process
    • Undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers and regularly review our existing suppliers.
    • Our due diligence includes evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier.
  3. Compliance with laws
    • Ensure that all aspects of this policy are complied with to meet or exceed requirements under relevant international and local laws addressing slavery and human trafficking.
  4. Training
    • Provide training to relevant employees and management to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and business.
  5. Reporting mechanism
    • Encourage anyone (including employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients) to report in good faith any issues or concerns about potential ethical violations, including modern slavery and human trafficking.
    • Maintain a reporting system that allows whistleblowers anonymity and protects them from retaliation.
  6. Remediation processes
    • Act promptly against any reports of modern slavery or human trafficking.
    • Implement and maintain a process for investigating instances of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  7. Transparency
    • Publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement outlining our actions to monitor and mitigate the risks of modern slavery in our business and supply chain.
  8. Continuous improvement
    • Commit to continuously reviewing and updating our practices in combating modern slavery and human trafficking.

Responsibility for policy

The board of directors has overall responsibility for ensuring this policy and its implementation comply with our legal and ethical obligations. Management at all levels are responsible for ensuring those reporting to them understand and comply with this policy.

Implementation of the policy

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary. Our commitment to integrity and social responsibility is paramount, and we expect all those with whom we have business dealings to uphold these same standards.
