Instructions
How to dock/undock and customize a toolbar
- Navigate to the left side of the screen, and select the '...' at the top of the toolbar.
- Hold and drag the toolbar to a different spot on your screen.
- Select the two arrows on the upper right side of the toolbar to change it from a single column to two columns.
- To dock the toolbar, select and hold the line under the two arrows. Drag the toolbar to the left side of the screen. Once a blue bar appears, release the cursor.
Open a panel and stack them
- Navigate to the Window Menu and choose several panels.
- Select the top of one panel, and drag it to the bottom of another. Once the blue line appears, release the cursor to connect the panel.
Create a new custom workspace
- Go to the Window Menu > New Workspace.
- In the New Workspace Panel, type in the name of your workspace.
- Click 'Ok.'
Hints & tips
- The shortcut to Zoom In/Zoom Out is Command/Ctrl+Plus(+) or Command/Ctrl+Minus(-)
- To fit your artboard to the screen, press Command/Ctrl+0
- Navigate to the Window Menu to see all of the panels available in Illustrator.
