Login to download- 00:04 Microsoft 365, previously known as Office 365 is a suite of
- 00:09 cloud-based productivity tools and services offered by Microsoft.
- 00:14 It combines the traditional Microsoft Office applications with cloud-based
- 00:19 services, collaboration tools, and security features to enhance
- 00:24 productivity and efficiency in both personal and professional settings.
- 00:29 Microsoft 365 includes all of the popular applications that we love such as Word,
- 00:34 Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.
- 00:37 Which are widely used for creating and storing documents, spreadsheets,
- 00:41 presentations, managing emails, and taking notes.
- 00:45 These applications are accessible across various different devices including
- 00:50 desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones,
- 00:54 allowing users to work seamlessly and collaborate in real-time.
- 00:58 Now, in addition to the core Office applications,
- 01:01 Microsoft 365 provides cloud storage through One Drive.
- 01:05 This enables users to store and
- 01:07 access their files from anywhere with an Internet connection.
- 01:12 It also offers various communication and
- 01:14 collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, which facilitates online meetings,
- 01:19 chat-based collaboration, file sharing, and project management.
- 01:24 Furthermore, Microsoft 365 offers several advanced features and
- 01:29 services such as Enterprise grade email hosting with Exchange Online.
- 01:34 Cloud-based productivity tools, like SharePoint and Yammer for
- 01:39 team collaboration.
- 01:40 And advanced security features to protect data and
- 01:43 ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
- 01:46 Now Microsoft 365 is available through subscription plans,
- 01:50 which typically include regular software updates, technical support,
- 01:54 and access to the latest and greatest features.
- 01:57 The subscription model allows individuals, businesses, and
- 02:01 organizations to benefit from the continually evolving suite of tools and
- 02:06 services provided by Microsoft that are always up to date.
- 02:10 To sign up for a Microsoft 365 subscription,
- 02:13 simply visit Microsoft.com and choose a plan that best suits your needs.
- 02:19 Plans are divided into Personal, Business, and Enterprise.
- 02:23 And you can compare all of these plans side-by-side on the product page of
- 02:27 the Microsoft website.
- 02:29 Now if you're simply an individual who wants to use Microsoft 365 at home for
- 02:34 personal projects, the personal plan gives you access to everything you need,
- 02:40 but is limited to only one person, and that person is you.
- 02:44 If there are many of you in your family that need access to Microsoft 365,
- 02:49 the family subscription would work best.
- 02:51 This gives you and up to six people access to the Microsoft Office suite and tools.
- 02:58 Whereas if you are a student who simply needs to be able to access apps like Word,
- 03:02 Excel, and PowerPoint to complete assignments, but not
- 03:06 really access to anything else the Office Home and Student plan would work best.
- 03:11 There are also numerous business plans available for more heavy-duty use.
- 03:15 These plans include access to all of the Office applications but
- 03:19 include business collaboration tools like OneDrive for
- 03:23 Business, SharePoint Online, Exchange, and Microsoft Teams.
- 03:27 So it's definitely worth comparing each plan to see which one suits your needs
- 03:32 the best.
- 03:33 Now the final group of plans are enterprise plans.
- 03:36 Most of the time if you're working within an organization, they will have one of
- 03:41 these plans and your IT team will simply assign a license to you so you can use it.
- 03:46 The important thing to remember here is, no matter which plan you select,
- 03:51 Microsoft 365 is your online hub of productivity.
- 03:55 Making it simple and
- 03:57 seamless to work and collaborate with others on files and projects.
