Quick reference
Filter the List of Forms
Instead of using the Microsoft 365 search bar, use the Filter feature to search for relevant forms.
When to use
We filter the list of existing forms when we are searching for a specific form in the list.
Instructions
There is a search bar in Microsoft Forms that runs across the top of the start page. Many people think that this is the easiest way to search for a specific form. However, this is a universal search. If we type a keyword into the search bar, we are essentially searching through all content in Microsoft 365. This can produce some unexpected search results if all we are looking for is a specific form.
A much better and easier way of finding forms is to use the Filter instead.
- From the start page, click in the Filter by keyword field.
- Type the word 'Customer'.
The list of existing forms will now be filtered by the keyword and only matching forms will be returned.
- Click the cross to clear the filter.
- Type the word 'quiz' in the Filter by keyword field to see all quizzes.
Change the view
- Click the buttons to the right of the keyword field to switch between tile view and list view.
- Click list view.
- Click the three dots next to the form to see more options.
