Quick reference
Delete and Restore a Form
Delete a form and restore it from the recycle bin.
When to use
We delete forms when we no longer need them and don't want them taking up space in the forms list. We restore a form when we want to work with it again.
Instructions
Delete a Form
When we delete a form in Microsoft Forms it doesn't get permanently deleted immediately. Deleted forms will be moved to the recycle bin and we have a period of time to restore the form if needed.
It's worth noting that forms cannot be deleted from the Recent list. To see the delete option in the menu, we need to click on My forms.
- From the Forms start page, click My forms.
- Click the three dots next to the form you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
- Click Delete again to confirm the deletion.
Deleted forms will be moved to the recycle bin.
Restore a Form
We can restore a form after we have deleted it.
- From the My forms page, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- Click Recycle bin.
- Click the three dots on the form you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
Hints & tips
- To delete forms permanently, click the Empty recycle bin link.
