Login to download- 00:04 Let's talk about changing the background of your diagram.
- 00:08 So, here's a diagram we've been working on throughout the entire lessons.
- 00:12 And I'm going to go ahead and pick on the Design menu,
- 00:14 and then I'll pick on the Backgrounds.
- 00:18 Now you can pick one of these and it will just be a solid color.
- 00:22 If you wanted to make sure you picked on different
- 00:25 colors that I can pick on Background, and notice down here it says background color.
- 00:30 So maybe we can go how about with a light green, and so forth, right?
- 00:36 So, let's pick on Backgrounds again.
- 00:39 So you can pick one of these.
- 00:40 You can see how it's going to give it different variations.
- 00:43 There's a map of the world that you can use as the background.
- 00:48 Even with that,
- 00:49 I picked the map of the world I can still pick on the background color, right?
- 00:54 So you get some different effects there.
- 00:57 So that gives us some choices to work with.
- 01:01 Even this one is pretty interesting, right?
- 01:05 Now, let me show you what happened.
- 01:06 It actually added a new page down here that's called The Background.
- 01:12 So that was not there before.
- 01:14 I'm going to go ahead and click on that.
- 01:16 And then this is just the background layer, so
- 01:19 maybe you can add more things into the background here.
- 01:22 So perhaps I would like to have maybe a picture, so I'll click on Insert.
- 01:28 And then I'll click on picture and I'll go back and go get the plane for example.
- 01:34 So I'm going to put that into the background,
- 01:36 right, I'll put it onto the background page here.
- 01:42 And notice how the plane is now part of the background, right?
- 01:47 So it was just an example we could have used any picture.
- 01:50 So what we did was we picked on the Design menu, and then I picked on Backgrounds.
- 01:56 So then you can try different backgrounds there.
- 01:59 Even when you choose one of those, you can choose the background color.
- 02:03 So what that does is make this background page and then you can go to that and
- 02:08 whatever you do to that will be the background.
- 02:11 And you can actually enhance that in many different ways.
- 02:14 So I'm actually going to remove that plane, it was just an example right?
- 02:18 And then I'm going to go ahead and delete that.
- 02:21 Now if I go back to page one, we see the original background.
- 02:25 So hopefully that gives you an idea of how to work with your backgrounds.
