Hints & tips
- Check out the exercise for more valuable info
- Apps are a tool to our productivity like a shoe is to a runner, it provides cushioning, ease-of-use but doesn't make or break your experience. The more alternatives you have the better for choosing a productivity application
- Avoid downloading too many apps at once, try one at a time
- Remember productivity is a very personal experience, you won't use all the same apps as your neighbour
- 00:04 Hello everyone, it's Francesco again.
- 00:07 Welcome back to the productivity training.
- 00:10 I hope everyone has enjoyed this course.
- 00:13 It's been an absolute pleasure to be sharing some insight into productivity,
- 00:17 insight into those resources,
- 00:19 because not many people get exposed to how to use those resources.
- 00:23 So I'm sure that this GoSkills course really added value.
- 00:26 If it did and you have some success stories so far, feel free to email me.
- 00:31 But essentially, what we did in the Essential Productivity Training
- 00:35 is really try and cover and provide insight into how you plan your work.
- 00:40 We want to expand your knowledge of resources.
- 00:43 So hopefully we've been able to do that.
- 00:46 Now just a recap, we covered basic productivity, resources like Evernote,
- 00:50 Todoist, Trello, Slack, Hours, and Google Calendar.
- 00:54 You can always go back and check things out and
- 00:56 review how you're getting on with that resource.
- 00:59 And finally, we covered workflow and some more advanced productivity alongside that.
- 01:05 This was brought together in an effort to try and really give you
- 01:08 some basic training, but also step into the world of advanced productivity.
- 01:13 So if you want to go a step further, what I recommend doing to boost your learning
- 01:17 efforts is really check out more GoSkills courses.
- 01:21 If for example, you enjoyed the Trello feature, GoSkills have actually got
- 01:25 a course on here, which is read by Scott Friesen, and it's a fantastic course.
- 01:30 So there are plenty of GoSkills courses that correlate to the resources, but
- 01:35 also that add additional value.
- 01:37 So if you're looking for ways to boost your routine, then this could be good.
- 01:41 YouTube videos again are a good one.
- 01:43 You can feel free to go to my YouTube channel because
- 01:46 I cover productivity apps on a regular basis.
- 01:48 So if you didn't find the golden nugget here, you can always add me on there and
- 01:53 find out the resources as they come in.
- 01:55 Local events and meetups are a great way to learn more from other people.
- 01:59 So feel free to look around on Eventbrite and Meetup and
- 02:02 see if there are some productivity associated events in the local area,
- 02:07 cuz this can be a great way to get started.
- 02:09 Finally, feel free to reach out on email.
- 02:11 I'd love to hear from you,
- 02:13 whether you want me to give you some additional advice,
- 02:16 prescribe any more resources or workflow information for you, I'm happy to do so.
- 02:20 If you have a comment on Twitter, @FrancescoD_Ales,
- 02:23 I'd happily share some more information with you.
- 02:27 In terms of YouTube resources on YouTube, you just probably
- 02:30 have to type in productivity apps or my full name and I will pop up.
- 02:35 I added a few exercises to add a little bit more value.
- 02:38 Some recommended watching for GoSkills courses and YouTube.
- 02:42 And I curated them myself, so
- 02:44 these are some great ones I think you'll find a lot of value from.
- 02:48 And also, I put together a recommended reading list of a few articles and books
- 02:52 that I think you should read to really break into your insights of productivity.
- 02:57 There are some golden ones here, some podcasts that you should follow and
- 03:00 articles you should read, so it's definitely worth checking them out.
- 03:03 I wanted to personally thank you for joining the GoSkills course.
- 03:06 It's really incredible that you have taken that step to be a bit more productive.
- 03:11 Productivity is a constantly growing process.
- 03:14 So it doesn't necessarily have to be a state where you're happy,
- 03:17 you can always progress out.
- 03:19 Or when you get comfortable, then that might be your time to slow down.
- 03:22 But what's brilliant is you can always take and add to productivity and
- 03:26 improve it every single day.
- 03:28 So I hope you enjoyed the Essential Productivity Training.
- 03:31 Feel free to let me know any questions or queries, or even any concerns or
- 03:35 anything like that.
- 03:35 I'm happy to help.
- 03:36 Thanks very much, guys, its been a pleasure teaching you here.
- 03:39 Thanks to GoSkills for hosting me as well.
- 03:41 It's a real pleasure to be on this fantastic learning site.
- 03:45 Make sure to have a great day, keep productive, and
- 03:47 I'll see you guys very soon.
- 03:48 Cheers.
