Quick Settings
Learn how to adjust common settings using the Quick Settings panel.
When to use
We use Quick Settings whenever we want to quickly adjust common settings like the brightness and volume.
Instructions
Quick Settings is a fast way of getting to our most important settings without having to go through the settings menu.
We can adjust the following settings in Quick Settings:
- The Volume
- The Brightness
- WiFi
- Night Light
- Airplane Mode
- Bluetooth
- Battery Saving
- Alarms
- Accessibility
Access Quick Settings
On the right-hand side of the taskbar, we have three icons (next to the date and time).
- Click anywhere on these icons.
This will open the Quick Settings panel. Each of these items is a shortcut to the main Settings area but we can make quick adjustments to commonly used settings from here.
- Right-click on any item in the Quick Settings panel to go to Settings.
- OR, click the cog icon.
Edit Quick Settings
We can edit Quick Settings and change what items appear in the panel.
- Right-click on any item in the Quick Settings panel.
- Click Edit Quick Settings.
- OR, click the pencil icon.
- Click the drawing pin icon to unpin an item from the Quick Settings panel.
Add an Item
We can add other Quick Settings to the panel.
- Right-click on any item in the Quick Settings panel.
- Click Edit Quick Settings.
- OR, click the pencil icon.
- Click Add.
- Choose an item from the list.
- Click Done.
Change the Order
We can change the order of the items in the Quick Settings panel.
- Right-click on any item in the Quick Settings panel.
- Click Edit Quick Settings.
- OR, click the pencil icon.
- Drag and drop the items to re-order.
- Click Done.
