Quick reference
Introduction to Microsoft Loop
We use Microsoft Loop whenever we want everything related to a project together in one workspace.
Instructions
Microsoft Loop is a collaborative API that lets us think, plan and create together like never before.
Loop is comprised of workspaces, pages, and components. We can work with shared workspaces for each of our projects. From the Loop home page, we can access existing projects or create new ones.
In a Loop workspace, we can bring together everything so that it's all together in one place. We can even add existing projects and documents to our workspace as the project evolves.
Loop pages are flexible canvases where we can react, comment and build on ideas. We can track what really matters using notifications without upsetting the flow of our work.
One of the best things about Loop is that information from Loop pages can be shared with people inside or outside of our organization with Loop components.
Components are portable pieces of content that stay in synch across all of the places they've been shared no matter where they are updated. We can create components like lists, tables, and paragraphs and we're always in control because it's easy to see which components have been shared and who has access.
Sign in to Microsoft Loop
- Go to loop.microsoft.com
- Enter your login credentials (if required)
The Loop Interface
Once we've signed into Microsoft Loop we can start creating workspaces, pages and loop components.
From the Loop home page we can select existing Loop workspaces or create a new Loop workspace.
Create a New Workspace
- Click the Plus (+) button
- Add a title for the workspace
- Add an emoji (optional)
- Click Create
This will create a workspace. We can see the workspace pages on the left-hand side. The current page by default is called 'Untitled'. We can click in the title on the page to rename it. We can also add interest with an icon and a cover image.
Hints & tips
