- 00:05 Just as we've seen in other areas of Google Drive, we can add some additional
- 00:10 functionality and some special features by applying Add-ons.
- 00:15 So let's take a look at how we can add additional features
- 00:18 here within Google Sheets.
- 00:20 In the menu, we will have an option to add Add-ons.
- 00:24 And we will wanna select Get add-ons to find that menu.
- 00:28 Here where we will see a complete list of all the Add-ons that we can add
- 00:32 within Google Sheets.
- 00:34 And you can click on these applications for a further description and
- 00:39 to see if they are a free Add-on or if they will cost you.
- 00:42 You can also search for
- 00:44 specific Add-ons by using the search box here in the top right-hand corner.
- 00:49 Let's take a look at this Remove Duplicates Add-on.
- 00:52 In fact, I've already gone ahead and installed it.
- 00:55 You can see I have a Manage button telling me, along with a check mark here in
- 00:59 the top left corner telling me that I've installed this particular Add-on.
- 01:04 So to use this Add on, go back to the Add-ons menu,
- 01:09 and here you will see I have it listed, Remove Duplicates.
- 01:13 So my first choice is to find duplicates or uniques, and
- 01:16 this can be a common problem within a spreadsheet.
- 01:19 It's gonna open up its own interface.
- 01:22 Remember, this is additional functionality.
- 01:24 So in this case, it's selecting my data.
- 01:26 I'm gonna say that I would like it to find its duplicates.
- 01:31 I'd like it to look in all of the columns, all of my information.
- 01:35 And then I can determine, you know, what color would I like it to highlight with.
- 01:38 Maybe I like this light green color.
- 01:40 I want it to highlight any duplicates that it may find.
- 01:44 Lastly, I'm going to select finish, and it has found 7 duplicates in total.
- 01:51 I can close this menu, and now I have highlighted these duplicate entries.
- 01:56 I can either go back in and remove them manually, or
- 01:59 decide what I want to do with these duplicate items.
- 02:02 But this is just one example of
- 02:05 one of the many Add-ons that you can add here within Google Sheets.
- 02:09 So I would encourage you to explore the additional functionality,
- 02:14 the other special features that you can apply to sheets.
