Recap and Conclusion
A summary of the lesson and techniques that have been covered in the tutorial to wrap things up.
When to use
We have now completed our Ragin Bulls Mascot Logo Design and the Advanced Adobe Illustrator Course. We will now take a look back at where we started and recap some of the important lessons that were covered.
Instructions
- This particular lesson does not require specific instruction but instead looks back at the original reference drawing we started with and comparing it to our end results.
- We also talk briefly about some of the important techniques that were covered and explain that they can be used in a number of ways and for different types of projects in the program.
Hints & tips
- Remember that just about all of the skills and techniques we learned during this Advanced Adobe Illustrator Course can be applied to all kinds of projects and not only mascot logos.
- 00:04 All right guys, well this now concludes our Adobe Illustrator advanced course.
- 00:08 I wanted to take a few minutes just to kind of recap a bunch of the stuff that
- 00:12 we've covered and where we started.
- 00:14 So we all kinda kicked this off using this reference sketch here, and through
- 00:18 the course of this tutorial, I showed you guys how to trace a sketch and prepare it
- 00:23 in Adobe Illustrator and setting up your documents before beginning to trace it.
- 00:28 Now, we made a couple of passes and we did a lot of work along the way.
- 00:32 So I know that we covered quite a lot of material here.
- 00:35 But through it all, we ended up with a really cool and polished looking mascot
- 00:39 logo design, which I'm very happy with and I hope that you guys are too.
- 00:43 And not only that but we have a clean version that we've used here, and
- 00:47 also a texture version of the logo.
- 00:50 And we created this by just using a custom texture
- 00:53 with the default brushes found in Adobe Illustrator.
- 00:56 So I just wanted to show you guys some of the different things that you can do and
- 01:00 the different ways that these things can be applied.
- 01:02 So all of the techniques that we've learned throughout this course can be
- 01:05 applied not only to logo designs, but to other things as well.
- 01:08 Whether you're doing t-shirts or
- 01:10 album covers, if you guys have taken the basics course and
- 01:13 then this course afterwards, you guys should be well on your way to being pros.
- 01:18 We've covered a lot here, not only for the actual logo, but
- 01:21 how to do other things like offset paths.
- 01:23 How to extrude texts, how to add highlights and
- 01:27 tweak it and work it, using envelope to store it.
- 01:30 And we've covered a lot of other stuff along the way.
- 01:32 It's important to remember the way that these things are presented and
- 01:36 the common types of files that you wanna save things out as.
- 01:39 So I've really tried to give you guys an in depth and comprehensive tutorial
- 01:43 from start to finish to create a pretty cool-looking end product.
- 01:47 So, I just wanted to thank you guys for taking this course with me, and
- 01:51 I gotta say, it's probably one of the better logos that I've done,
- 01:54 especially a mascot logo like this.
- 01:57 So thank you guys so much for coming on this journey with me, and for
- 01:59 taking the Adobe Illustrator advanced course.
- 02:02 We'll see you next time.
