Preview and Rank
Ranking questions mean customers can move and reorder the answers to rank their preferences from most important to least important.
- Click Preview.
- Hover the mouse over any of the options
- Use the Move up and Move down buttons to rank the answers.
- 00:04 A popular question type that you'll see on many forms is a ranking question.
- 00:09 And with a ranking question,
- 00:11 we're asking our customers to rank certain items in order of importance to them.
- 00:18 So let's add a ranking question into our survey.
- 00:22 So if we scroll down to the bottom, notice we can't see ranking just here,
- 00:26 and that's because it's hidden underneath that dropdown menu.
- 00:30 So let's choose Ranking and now we can add in our question.
- 00:34 So maybe I want our customers to rank what's most important to them when they're
- 00:39 buying a candle.
- 00:40 Now, in this instance, I am going to add a subtitle.
- 00:44 Notice, right underneath we have Enter a subtitle, and
- 00:50 I'm going to say, Please rank most important to least important.
- 00:57 So maybe the first characteristic is Price.
- 01:01 Many people make their purchases based on price.
- 01:04 Option two, we're going to have Packaging.
- 01:08 Option three, we're going to have Smell.
- 01:14 Let's add another option, and let's add a final option Intensity.
- 01:20 Now, if we click the three dots at the bottom,
- 01:22 let's take a look at what options we have.
- 01:24 Well, we can choose to shuffle options or we can add branching.
- 01:27 Now, I'm not too concerned about shuffling these options when people load up
- 01:31 the form, and we're going to talk about branching later.
- 01:34 Now, with a rank type question, people can move these answers around
- 01:38 depending on what they find the most important to least important.
- 01:43 So, if we click away just to set that question, let's go into preview mode and
- 01:48 take a look at what the user sees.
- 01:51 So I'm going to preview on the computer first of all,
- 01:53 let's scroll down to this question.
- 01:55 And what you'll notice is that when they get to this question if they hover over
- 02:00 any of the options Notice on the right-hand side they have move up and
- 02:04 move down buttons.
- 02:06 So, this is going to enable them to move these options around and
- 02:10 rank them effectively.
- 02:12 So, they could maybe say that smell is the most important,
- 02:15 that needs to go at the top.
- 02:17 And notice as I'm doing that it's showing me which one I'm moving by highlighting
- 02:22 it in dark green so I don't get confused.
- 02:25 Also notice, it's numbering them as I'm doing this, so
- 02:29 maybe packaging is the next one, maybe Longevity, Price, and then iItensity.
- 02:35 And then they would simply click on the Submit button.
- 02:38 Let's take a look at it on mobile.
- 02:39 If we scroll down,
- 02:40 we have a similar thing just here we have those buttons to move up or move down.
- 02:46 So that's how simple it is to add a ranking question to a survey.
