- 00:04 Let's see how we can manage the sections within your notebook.
- 00:08 So, notice how I'm in the Webinars notebook.
- 00:12 And then across here, you have the different sections.
- 00:15 And the notebook can have as many sections as you want.
- 00:19 So, first of all, let's rename that section.
- 00:23 I'm going to right-click on that section, and then I'll pick on Rename.
- 00:27 So let's say I have webinars on Word, And I'd like to add some more sections.
- 00:35 So I'll pick in the plus sign here.
- 00:37 And that's how I can rename that section right away.
- 00:40 So I'll type in Excel there, and
- 00:43 I'll keep on doing the plus sign to add new sections.
- 00:47 So then maybe I have Outlook webinars, And
- 00:52 Access, And PowerPoint.
- 00:56 So, making each one of those a different section.
- 00:59 So, clearly, you can have as many sections as you wanted to,
- 01:03 just keep on adding the plus sign there.
- 01:06 So, then I'm going to add another one.
- 01:09 So, let's say I also have, Webinars on QuickBooks.
- 01:16 And then QuickBooks Online.
- 01:20 So, I just add those sections in there as well.
- 01:22 Okay, so now I can control the color of those sections.
- 01:29 If I right-click on the Word section, then notice how I can change the Section Color.
- 01:35 So maybe I want that one to be Red.
- 01:37 Or I can right-click on the Excel section, and I'll pick on Section Color and
- 01:42 I want that one to be Green, right?
- 01:44 So each section could have their own color, no problem with that.
- 01:49 Notice when you right-click on the section name, I can rename it.
- 01:53 Export it means you can send it to a file, or you can send it to Word, or
- 01:57 PowerPoint, or something like that.
- 02:00 I can delete it, we can move or copy the section.
- 02:04 Now, of course, another way to move a section is just to pick it up and drag it.
- 02:08 So, I'll pick up Word and just drag it to the right of PowerPoint, and
- 02:13 you can see we just moved that section.
- 02:16 So let's say I want to put them in alphabetical order for now.
- 02:19 I'll pick up Access and move it to the left of Excel.
- 02:24 Access, Excel, Outlook, and now they're in alphabetical order, okay?
- 02:28 So, no problem with that.
- 02:29 Notice when I right-click on that section, I can rename it, export it, delete it.
- 02:35 Here's another way to move or copy it.
- 02:37 So I can merge two sections together, here it says, Merge into Another Section.
- 02:42 I can copy the link to,
- 02:44 in other words what this would do is maybe link this to a different workbook.
- 02:49 So you can do that, here's another way to add a new section, all right?
- 02:53 And then there's that Section Color.
- 02:57 Now, let's say a section is really private information,
- 03:02 I could add a password on to that.
- 03:05 We'll do that in a different lesson.
- 03:07 But you can see where the choice is.
- 03:10 So, clearly, we can add sections, delete them, rename them, and so on.
- 03:15 So, I just showed you great ways to manage your sections here in OneNote.
