Object Arrangement
This lesson will show you how to layer your shapes on top of each other.
When to use
As you use more shapes in OneNote, you may have to layer them on top of each other.
Instructions
- Go into the OneNote program
- Go into the Quick Notes notebook
- Click on the new page icon on the right
- Click anywhere on the page
- Click on the Draw Menu
- Click on the red pen, then the rectangle shape on the Draw Menu
- Move your mouse anywhere on the page and draw a rectangle
- Click on the blue pen, then the circle shape on the Draw Menu
- Draw a circle on your page
- Click on the Type Icon on the Draw Menu to make your mouse go back to normal
- Drag the circle so that it intersects with the square
- Notice the circle appears above the square, because the circle was added after the square
- Click on the border of the circle
- Click on the Arrange icon on the Draw Menu
- Click on Send to Back
- Notice the circle now appears below the square
Hints & tips
- Bring Forward means move that object 1 level up
- Bring to Front means move that object all the way to top level, making that the front-most object above everything else
- Send Backward means move that object 1 level down
- Send to Back move that object all the way to bottom level, making that the back-most object below everything else
