- 00:05 Trello is such a flexible application that you can use to manage almost anything.
- 00:11 Whether you want to use Trello to manage your personal projects and
- 00:14 your own to-dos.
- 00:16 Or perhaps you'd like to use Trello with your teams and
- 00:19 to better organize the projects that you use on a day to day basis.
- 00:24 No matter how you wish to be more productive,
- 00:26 Trello provides an excellent solution.
- 00:29 So let's get started with Trello.
- 00:33 In order to use Trello you will first need to create a Trello account.
- 00:38 To do so, open up your web browser and go to Trello.com.
- 00:42 Or you can search for Trello using your favorite search engine.
- 00:47 Once you're on the Trello home page,
- 00:49 you will see a green Sign-Up button on the middle of your screen, or
- 00:53 an additional Sign-Up button in the top right hand corner.
- 00:57 Now, if you already have an existing Trello account, you can proceed and
- 01:02 log in at this point.
- 01:03 But for this example, I'm going to show you how to sign up for
- 01:07 a brand new Trello account.
- 01:10 To create your Trello account, you will need three things,
- 01:14 to enter your name, enter a valid email address, and a password.
- 01:19 Trello also gives you the option to use Google to sign up for your Trello account,
- 01:25 and if you wish to use that option, you can select this button here.
- 01:29 But let's sign up for a new Trello account using the traditional method.
- 01:34 First, I'm going to enter in my name.
- 01:38 I'm going to enter in the e-mail address I want associated with my Trello account,
- 01:44 and a valid password.
- 01:47 I'm gonna select Create New Account.
- 01:54 And it's going to bring to this overview page,
- 01:57 showing me all of the boards that I have in my new Trello account.
- 02:02 Now you may notice there's not a whole lot here at this point
- 02:05 because we haven't created new boards of our own.
- 02:08 Trello, by default, will give you a basic tutorial board
- 02:13 which will show you some of the terminology and
- 02:16 some of the other things that are used within the Trello platform.
- 02:21 But will you will also notice at the top of the screen,
- 02:23 that it is giving you a brief message to please confirm your email address.
- 02:29 And it's recommended that you do this right away, so that you can benefit from
- 02:35 all of the functionality of Trello and also receive future notifications.
- 02:39 Not just from Trello, the software company, but from your boards and
- 02:44 as you create notifications and due dates and other features within Trello.
- 02:49 So, quickly go to your email and
- 02:52 you will see your Trello account confirmation email.
- 02:57 When you open it up, you will see a brief welcome message and
- 03:00 a green Verify Address button.
- 03:03 Simply select that button and
- 03:05 you will be returned to your Trello board overview screen.
- 03:11 And that is how you set up your first Trello account.
- 03:16 Now that you've set up your first account, let's continue with the course and
- 03:20 learn how Trello can help you to be more productive
