Login to download- 00:04 When dealing with your Trello project, you will most likely want to rearrange
- 00:09 the order of your cards, and move your cards into different lists all together.
- 00:14 To move a card, simply select, click,
- 00:17 and hold that card, and then drag it to its desired location.
- 00:22 Let's say I wanna have this card appear at the top of this list,
- 00:27 I can click and hold, and you can see that Trello creates a dark gray area,
- 00:31 indicating where that card will appear when I release it.
- 00:35 Now my Write new book card is at the top of this list, and the same holds
- 00:40 true if we wish to bring this card to a new list or a different list.
- 00:45 I can simply click, drag, and hold and
- 00:48 bring it to my new desired list, and now this card exists here.
- 00:53 Now there's another way that we can move cards as well, and
- 00:57 that's by selecting the edit icon here.
- 01:00 You can see our third option is to move this card, and this gives us
- 01:04 the capability to even choose a different board to move this card in.
- 01:09 By selecting this first button, we can see a list of all the boards that we have
- 01:14 access to, all the boards where we could move this card.
- 01:17 For the sake of this example, I'm gonna keep it withing the existing board.
- 01:21 I'll show you how to move it to a different list, it indicates where our
- 01:25 current list is, and if I want to maybe put it back in my New Ideas.
- 01:29 And I even have the option to indicate which position I would like it to land in.
- 01:33 I'm gonna select number two, I'll select the Move button, and
- 01:38 now my card is back in its existing list.
- 01:41 This Move option here is probably most helpful when you are managing a large
- 01:46 number of cards, or a large number of lists within your Trello board.
- 01:52 Think about if you have a board with seven, or maybe even 12 different lists,
- 01:57 it may be easier for you to move that card by using the drop down option here.
- 02:03 Now we are also given the capability of copying a card,
- 02:08 perhaps we want to reproduce this exact same card in a different list.
- 02:13 I select the Copy option, and
- 02:16 we get much of the same options that we saw in the Move dialog.
- 02:20 Selecting which board we want it to go to, which list, and which position,
- 02:25 but it gives us one additional option, and that is the Title.
- 02:29 Perhaps we would like to copy each and every component of this card,
- 02:33 maybe the description, maybe the due date, other features that are contained
- 02:38 within the card, but we want to give it a slightly different title.
- 02:42 So let's say we're gonna change this from book to article, Write new article, and
- 02:49 I'm gonna have this particular card copied to the Task List in our Trello board.
- 02:56 I select the Create Card, and now you can see I have a copy of this card.
- 03:02 It has now appeared in my new list, or my different list, the Task List,
- 03:07 but every other component of this card will remain the same.
- 03:11 So if I had description, a due date, or a label, that would remain with
- 03:16 this card as well, but you do have the option to change the title if you like.
- 03:22 And that's how you can either move your card within a Trello board,
- 03:26 outside of a Trello board, or copy it as well.
