Excel Challenge 19: Using Advanced Logic to Return Different Results

For this Excel challenge, we have multiple options which could lead to different outcomes depending on which options appear together. To get started,

The Challenge

Here’s the scenario: 

We have some college applicants applying to get into our Arts, Business, or STEM program. How we treat their application will be based on last term’s performance and their exam average. 

Can you get the "Application Status" column to automatically update based on the rules in the following chart?

The AND and OR functions are pretty useful for combination and decision-type formulas, and as usual, IF and IFS are go-to functions for controlling behavior.
