First Video Rehearsal

• 00:04 Okay, I've been easy on you so far.
• 00:06 Now's the part you're not going to like, but
• 00:08 it's the most important part of this entire course.
• 00:12 I need you to grab your cell phone or any other video camera and I need you to
• 00:17 practice your introduction right now, and you gotta capture it on video.
• 00:26 I know you don't want.
• 00:27 I don't like my voice TJ and I don't like my hair style.
• 00:30 Guess what?
• 00:31 Everyone in that room that you're introducing yourself to,
• 00:34 has to hear your voice.
• 00:36 They have to see your face.
• 00:39 So you're not hiding anything with them, you're only hiding from yourself.
• 00:44 So you gotta bite the bullet.
• 00:46 You got to, nobody likes to do this.
• 00:47 Nobody likes the sound of their own voice.
• 00:49 It's the only way to be supremely confident when you're introducing
• 00:54 yourself.
• 00:55 It's the only way to know if you're being too soft, or
• 00:58 if you're playing with your ring finger, or if you're rocking back and forth.
• 01:04 You've got to do it on video.
• 01:05 So no more dithering.
• 01:07 Do not fast forward the video to the next lesson.
• 01:11 Don't just sort of kick back and scandal.
• 01:14 This course is a complete utter waste of time if you don't follow this step.
• 01:17 In fact cancel now, ask for your money back.
• 01:20 It's not going to be worth your while unless you do this one step.
• 01:23 So record yourself on video, it could be with a webcam,
• 01:28 it could be on an iPad, it could be on a cell phone.
• 01:32 But not just audio, not to the mirror, complete waste of time.
• 01:37 Not to your dog, but on video, and then I need you to watch it.
• 01:43 And I need you to figure out what you'll like.
• 01:47 Make a list.
• 01:48 What do you not like and make a list.
• 01:50 Do that right now, it's the most important exercise in the entire course.
