Course Introduction
Get started with Excel Charts for Data Visualization.
It's important to run through this introduction so we understand what this course is about, how it's structured, and why it's going to be helpful.
Instructions
Whether you are a student, an analyst, or anyone who works with data, this course is designed to help you harness the full power of Excel 365's charting capabilities.
We have a suite of charting utilities at our disposal to transform raw data into stunning and engaging visualizations.
Data visualization has been a key term over the last few years. People are recognizing the importance of telling the story of your data and communicating insights using engaging visuals.
In this course, we will take a look at all of the charts available in Excel. We'll see which chart types are best for our data, how we can 'jazz them up' with thoughtful formatting, and how we can make them dynamic and interactive.
Excel Version
This course has been created using Excel 365, so it is most relevant for Excel 365 users. However, if you are using Excel 2021 or 2019, these versions are very similar to Excel 365 so we should still be able to work through the content. For users of Excel 2016, 2013, or earlier versions there will be a few differences.
Designed for PC Users
This course has been designed for Excel PC users. We will not be covering Excel on the Mac.
Designed for Linear Consumption
This course has been designed for linear consumption and we recommend that you work through this course lesson by lesson. However, it has been set up to enable you to dive in and out of lessons seamlessly if you want to skip a lesson.
Course and Exercise Files
Ensure that you have downloaded the course and exercise files prior to starting the course. The course files are the workbooks I use in the demonstration videos so you can follow along with me. At the end of each lesson, there is an exercise. Use the exercise files to complete these.
