- 00:04 Now that we are comfortable with adding shapes, text boxes, images, and
- 00:09 other objects to our slides, let's see how we can edit and format those objects.
- 00:16 In order to move an object within your slide, simply click and hold and
- 00:20 drag it to its new desired location.
- 00:24 You'll see as I'm dragging this image around, there are a number of red lines,
- 00:29 both vertical and horizontal which appear.
- 00:32 These are guidelines which are telling me if I'm in line with
- 00:36 other objects on the page or perhaps with the page itself.
- 00:42 Here you can see that this red horizontal line is telling me that I'm directly in
- 00:46 line with the other two objects on this particular slide.
- 00:51 If you would like to change the size of an object, simply click that object and
- 00:56 you can drag one of the corners to make it smaller or
- 01:00 to make it larger, to your desired size.
- 01:04 Of course, you do not need to move or edit just one object at one given time.
- 01:10 Let's say that I would like to move both this picture here and this arrow together.
- 01:16 Simply click and drag it around your desired objects.
- 01:20 And now when I click and
- 01:22 hold, I can move both of those objects at the exact same time.
- 01:27 Here, let's make sure that we're directly in line with that other image,
- 01:31 there we go, perfect.
- 01:33 Now editing text within a slide is very much the same
- 01:37 as how we edited text within Google Docs.
- 01:40 In this case, let's say I'm not wild about this orange color.
- 01:44 So I'm gonna select it, I'm gonna go up to the text color, and
- 01:49 I'm gonna pick a darker shade of blue.
- 01:52 Now, of course, you can repurpose things that you have created on a single
- 01:57 slide and copy it to additional slides within your presentation.
- 02:02 Let's say that I would like to use this picture again.
- 02:06 Simply right click that particular object, select Copy, and
- 02:10 then go to a different slide.
- 02:12 In this case, I've got a blank slide waiting for me.
- 02:16 I can right-click, and I can select Paste, and
- 02:20 maybe on this slide, I'd like this image to be quite a bit larger.
- 02:24 So now I've repurposed something that I've already used on a previous slide.
- 02:29 So get familiar with editing, with formatting,
- 02:33 and moving your different objects within your slide show.
