Landing Pages
Discover what the difference is between a website and landing pages and how they can attract more customers to your brand.
When to use
A landing page can help you gain access to more potential clients by offering an item of value in exchange for their contact information.
Instructions
Landing page
- Sometimes called a “squeeze page”
- One page that has marketing message
- Offers massive value for free or low price point
- Function of landing page is offer massive value to collect leads (e.g. email addresses, phone numbers)
- Massive value may be video, e-book, audio with helpful information in exchange for their contact information.
Opt-in feature
- Opting in: in exchange for item of value, visitor provides their email and name.
- Leads go into prospect database so that you can continue to market to them in future
- e.g if visitor provided their email, you can email them with promotions or items of value.
Why use a landing page and not send people to your website home page?
- Landing pages are designed so that there is only one action the visitor can take – provide their details to get your item of value
- Conversely, there are many actions they can take on your website. They might click to read more about the company, your products, and leave without giving you their information.
Some companies who offer services for landing pages:
- Kajabi, Leadpages, Clickfunnels
- 00:04 In this video we are gonna continue with step five, get online.
- 00:09 So we know that having your website, that's an online presence, right?
- 00:14 And we talked about putting your framework in there for attracting clients.
- 00:18 And the same with your blog as well.
- 00:21 Now, I want to talk to you about something that's similar to a website,
- 00:24 but just a little different.
- 00:26 We call it a landing page.
- 00:28 You may hear people talk about a squeeze page as well, okay?
- 00:32 So, what is a landing page?
- 00:33 It's one page that has that marketing message that we talked about,
- 00:37 that framework, right?
- 00:39 And it offers massive value to your prospects.
- 00:43 And typically, this massive value is offered for free or
- 00:47 a very low price point.
- 00:49 Because remember, we just want to engage with our marketing.
- 00:53 Now, we want to get to know people.
- 00:55 This is where we get to take them to coffee.
- 00:57 And then we get to take them to dinner, then we get to meet their parents and
- 00:59 then we get married, right?
- 01:00 It's a step by step process.
- 01:03 Rather than just take him to coffee and ask him to marry us, right?
- 01:06 Just shooting him an e-mail or getting him on a page and saying buy this thing, okay?
- 01:10 Does that make sense?
- 01:11 You wanna build that relationship where they get to know us,
- 01:14 like us, and trust us.
- 01:16 So, this landing page website, its sole function is to add massive value,
- 01:23 number one, and collect leads, number two.
- 01:27 That's big.
- 01:28 So, collecting leads.
- 01:29 It's typically gonna be e-mails, but it could also be phone numbers, right?
- 01:33 Names, it could be addresses.
- 01:35 It just depends on what you're selling, the price point you're selling it at, and
- 01:39 whether it's a product or a service, and how your sales funnel's gonna go.
- 01:42 l Do you need to get them on the phone in order to do a sale?
- 01:45 Do you have to do an appointment first, okay?
- 01:47 So, all of that's gonna vary, but that's what you want with this landing page.
- 01:51 Now, what you wanna do the first thing is add massive value.
- 01:55 So, that could be those items of value we talked about.
- 01:58 It could be a video, it could be a guide, it could be an audio or an MP3, right?
- 02:03 Something that says hey, give us this information,
- 02:07 and we're gonna talk about hat in just a moment, give us this information and
- 02:10 you're gonna get this massive value item of value for free, okay?
- 02:14 Or for a low price point.
- 02:16 So now, when you're capturing the leads, we call it an opt-in,
- 02:21 opting in, and saying, hey, I want this item of value.
- 02:24 In exchange for that, I'm gonna give you my name and e-mail, typically.
- 02:28 Typically, it's first name and e-mail.
- 02:30 And then, you can do e-mail marketing.
- 02:31 We're gonna talk about that in another video, okay?
- 02:34 But if it's something more complex and you need to talk with them,
- 02:37 you might have them put in their name, their phone number, and their e-mail.
- 02:40 Or if it's something you have to send to them, put in their name and their address.
- 02:44 So, for example, if you're giving away a free book, hey, put in your address and
- 02:48 we'll give you that free book, and we'll ship it out to you, okay?
- 02:51 Great news.
- 02:52 Now, the visitor gives you their information in exchange for
- 02:55 the item of value.
- 02:57 So, it depends on your industry, but what that item of value is gonna be is
- 03:02 gotta be something that they really want, something that's speaking to your ideal
- 03:05 client that they're saying, wow, gosh, they're giving me this thing for free?
- 03:09 I wonder what they would give me if I paid them!
- 03:12 Okay, that's where you're going with this.
- 03:14 So, let's do a quick recap.
- 03:16 Landing pages.
- 03:17 Now, what are some of the resources for that?
- 03:19 It could be, there's a company called, Kajabe.
- 03:21 There's another company called Leadpages.
- 03:22 There's another company called ClickFunnels.
- 03:26 Now, you can do this on your own, and you can go to these sites.
- 03:29 You can also hire people who know how to build these out for you, and
- 03:32 they can do it very inexpensively as well, okay?
- 03:35 So you want to make sure you have a landing page, or
- 03:37 sometimes called a squeeze page,
- 03:39 whose sole function is to add massive values to your clients and collect leads.
- 03:44 That massive value can be delivered in a video, could be a guide,
- 03:47 could be an audio, an MP3.
- 03:48 And you want them to fill out an opt-in, right?
- 03:53 So the visitor gives you information in exchange for that item of value.
- 03:56 Their name, their e-mail, sometimes their phone number, address,
- 03:59 depending on what your item of value is and your industry, okay?
- 04:03 This is great because now you've got all those leads, and
- 04:06 you want to have yourself or somebody connect that into your database.
- 04:10 So now, those leads go into your prospect database that you can continue to market
- 04:15 to and to build that relationship.
- 04:17 Does that make sense?
- 04:18 Good.
- 04:19 You guys got this, I'll see you in the next video.
