Hints & tips
- Click on the pull-down to the right of the eraser icon. You can choose a different size eraser, or the more efficient choice is the one that says "Stroke Eraser".
- 00:05 In this lesson, let's talk about how we can erase your handwritten notes and
- 00:09 the highlights.
- 00:11 So let's go back to a different page.
- 00:13 I have my first note here, and I'm going to add some of that ink again.
- 00:17 So I'll pick on the draw menu, and I'll pick the red pen.
- 00:21 And let's say I'm going to to draw a circle around those two phone numbers.
- 00:27 And then let's say I'll use the highlighter here, and
- 00:30 then highlight some of the text over here.
- 00:34 All right?
- 00:35 So then let's add another one.
- 00:37 I'm going to highlight the USA and
- 00:40 the highlight the date, time, and so on.
- 00:46 So, now notice how we have an eraser under the draw menu, so I'll pick on the eraser.
- 00:53 Now what you do is, you don't just click on that ink,
- 00:56 you actually hold down your left mouse button.
- 01:00 So you're erasing it like that, you see?
- 01:03 So I'm coming over here, I'm going to hold down my left mouse button.
- 01:06 Just by clicking on it isn't enough.
- 01:08 I'm going to hold down my left mouse button until that ink is gone.
- 01:12 So it's kind of interesting, if I click on the pull-down for the eraser,
- 01:16 then you can make it a small eraser, or medium, or large.
- 01:20 And then that'll help you erase it quicker if it's the large eraser,
- 01:25 so let me try one that's called the stroke eraser.
- 01:29 And then if I just click on that now,
- 01:32 then it's just as soon as I highlight any part of that ink, it's gone.
- 01:39 So I'm going to put this line back again.
- 01:42 And now let's try to erase that with the small eraser.
- 01:46 And notice, in this case you get that rectangle and then I'm actually going to
- 01:51 highlight you know, keep on highlighting until that's all gone.
- 01:55 So when you use the small eraser or the medium or the large,
- 01:59 then you actually have to erase it.
- 02:02 So I'll pick on the red line again.
- 02:04 I'm going to draw that entire circle around those names.
- 02:10 I'll pick on the eraser, and this time I'll use the large eraser, and
- 02:13 now see how it's a bigger area.
- 02:15 So then it'll just be easier to get rid of that line, whereas on the other hand,
- 02:20 let's go back and add a line. I'm going to draw the line around the text again.
- 02:26 This time for the eraser, I'll use the stroke eraser.
- 02:30 And then as soon as I hold down my left mouse button and
- 02:34 touch any part of that line, then the whole line is gone.
- 02:38 So that's really the more efficient way.
- 02:41 But you can use either the small, medium or large eraser.
- 02:44 But then the stroke eraser was was pretty interesting because as soon as I moved
- 02:49 the mouse eraser onto the line and held down my left mouse button,
- 02:53 the whole thing went away.
- 02:55 So that's how you can erase your handwritten notes or
- 02:59 your highlighting marks on the OneNote.
