- 00:04 Now for this one, we're going to make a table in OneNote and
- 00:09 try to see if we can convert that into an Excel spreadsheet.
- 00:14 So in a previous lesson, we talked about those tables.
- 00:19 So let me make a quick table here.
- 00:21 I'll pick on the Insert menu in OneNote, and I'll pick on table.
- 00:25 And then remember how we get this window.
- 00:27 So I want it to be three columns across by five rows down.
- 00:35 I'm going to click on that last square, and
- 00:37 then we have a nice little table here, okay?
- 00:39 So I'll very quickly type in first name, last name, and a city.
- 00:47 So I made a quick table right here in OneNote.
- 00:51 Now watch what I'm going to do, everybody.
- 00:53 I'm going to click on that table.
- 00:55 Now, I'm going to click on that first name, or click on one of the cells here,
- 00:59 and that is how we get the table menu.
- 01:03 And then what does it say over here?
- 01:05 It says convert to an Excel spreadsheet.
- 01:07 So I'm going to click on convert to an Excel spreadsheet,
- 01:10 and let's see what's going to happen.
- 01:15 And that actually converted the table into an Excel spreadsheet here in
- 01:19 OneNote, okay?
- 01:20 So it converted the table into an Excel spreadsheet in other words, right?
- 01:25 So the point there is it's not really a table anymore,
- 01:28 now it's actually a workable Excel spreadsheet.
- 01:31 So I could work with that as an Excel spreadsheet here.
- 01:34 I just double clicked on that, and
- 01:36 it brought me into Excel as you can see, right?
- 01:38 So I double clicked.
- 01:43 And now we're back in Excel again.
- 01:44 So let's undo that.
- 01:46 Now it's a table again, right?.
- 01:48 So I'm on the table, then I'll click on the Table menu and
- 01:52 I'll say convert to an Excel spreadsheet.
- 01:57 And now it did make that into an Excel spreadsheet here in OneNote.
- 02:02 And then, now if I want to edit the information,
- 02:05 I'll pick in the word Edit there.
- 02:07 And then give that a second, and then it'll open up in Excel, as you can see.
- 02:13 So that was pretty interesting,
- 02:16 going from a table in OneNote to an Excel spreadsheet.
