Sharing Reports and Dashboards

When you want to share your business intelligence with other users

Instructions

Methods of sharing reports:

• Email the *.pbix file to other users (not recommended as you lose control of the file)
• Share the dashboard (the user can click on a tile to get to the report)
• Share the report

Sharing dashboards/reports with internal users:

• Go to the Dashboard or Report
• Click Share
• Enter the email address and choose your options

Managing users:

• Go to the report/dashboard
• Click File --> Manage Permissions
• Highlight the user and click … to modify permissions as needed

Hints & tips

• Sharing dashboards requires a Pro license for both the author and consumer!
• Sharing from My Workspace IS NOT RECOMMENDED as My Workspace (and its contents) are deleted when you leave the company.
• It is better to share from a Named workspace via an App.
