Managing Tasks
Being able to manage tasks inside of Todoist is important. It's not about dumping them all in and hoping for the best; there is an art to crafting your Today list. Make sure that you don't become overwhelmed by the stressful list of dozens of tasks. Building a healthy-sized list for the day can help you to reduce stress, become focused and boost productivity day to day.
When to use
- As you look to organize the amount of tasks in your Today tab
- Improving your productivity
Instructions
- Open your Today tab
- Evaluate the disadvantages of task overload
- Try to keep your Today list to 3-5 tasks
- Create achieveable tasks with clear, concise titles
- Use priority levels to assign importance to tasks
- Assign all of your tasks to projects (once processed from inbox)
- Go to Today list
- Remove unnecessary tasks
- Add task context (inc. labels, priority and due dates)
- Clear up any poorly worded tasks
