- 00:04 Hello everyone, and welcome back to this GoSkills course all about Todoist.
- 00:08 Now in this feature,
- 00:10 we are diving into how to brighten up your Todoist account using a few emojis.
- 00:14 I previously used emoji in my account and
- 00:17 I found it a great way to brighten up a few elements, especially when you've
- 00:21 got lots of projects and lots of tasks inside of your account.
- 00:25 So as you can see on this left-hand side, we've got Projects and
- 00:28 we're going to start adding some emoji to these to brighten them up.
- 00:32 Of course you've got the colors, and
- 00:33 we talked about them in the first elements of this course.
- 00:36 But you might want to be able to add more color to them using emoji.
- 00:41 You can see up here I'm using a site called emojipedia.org.
- 00:45 I will link this one in the reference section so you can find out.
- 00:50 All I'm going to do is copy this emoji here, the briefcase emoji.
- 00:54 I'm going to go down here, I'm going to click Project actions.
- 00:57 I'm going to click Edit project, and I'm going to the start of that text.
- 01:02 And all I have to do is paste that in there and click Save.
- 01:04 I left a little bit of a space so that it had some space there, and
- 01:08 you can see it really does brighten up your account.
- 01:12 Now if you go over to the emojopedia you can type in what you like,
- 01:15 it doesn't matter what emoji you have.
- 01:16 I'm going to choose a plant one for this personal account.
- 01:21 So for example, if I click Copy here, go back into here.
- 01:24 Do the same Edit project and add that there.
- 01:28 Now as you can see here, I've got a lovely little plant and
- 01:33 a briefcase next to my projects and it really does brighten up your account.
- 01:37 Especially when you're looking in the Next 7 day view,
- 01:40 you can see these appear on the right-hand side and they just look fantastic.
- 01:45 Now if you want to add them to the task, you quite easily can.
- 01:48 Let's say I've said iron all clothes, let's see if we can find the iron emoji.
- 01:52 So there's no iron emoji, so we're going to add a clothes emoji.
- 01:56 So let's add some jeans.
- 01:58 If I copy and paste this jeans one in here, as you can see,
- 02:02 Todoist supports emoji and it really does brighten up your account.
- 02:05 This is much easier on mobile.
- 02:08 So if you're on iPhone and Android and you're accessing Todoist,
- 02:11 it is really easy to do that.
- 02:12 You can just paste from the keyboard and it makes it so
- 02:15 much more easier than your setting up on web.
- 02:18 But again, it really is up to you.
- 02:20 A lot of people use this to make their account more colorful and
- 02:23 almost add in icons.
- 02:25 So hopefully, you do enjoy it.
- 02:27 In the final element before we dive into the course summary,
- 02:30 we're going to talk about this exciting feature up here called Todoist karma.
- 02:34 Thanks very much, and I'll see you guys in the next feature, cheers.
