Login to download- 00:04 Trello gives us a variety of ways in which we can share information about
- 00:09 our Trello board.
- 00:11 Let's say that you would like to reference this particular board in an upcoming email
- 00:16 communication, let's find out where we can find the direct link to that board.
- 00:21 If we select the Menu option, and then select More,
- 00:26 at the very bottom of this menu, we find a Link to this board.
- 00:31 If we copy and paste this link, people who receive that message
- 00:36 will be able to gain access to this Trello board.
- 00:40 Now Trello will remind us down below the privacy settings for
- 00:43 this particular board.
- 00:45 And in this case, this board is set to private, and
- 00:48 its permission settings are set to Only members of this board.
- 00:53 Now you may be working with some collaborators who don't spend a lot of
- 00:58 time within the board itself, but perhaps you'd like to make mention or
- 01:02 reference this board.
- 01:04 This can be a great opportunity to use this direct board link in an outside or
- 01:09 external communication, but what if you'd like to be a little more granular?
- 01:15 What if you'd like to reference or make mention of a specific Trello card?
- 01:21 Well, after opening a card, in the lower right-hand corner,
- 01:26 you will find a link called Share and more, by selecting this,
- 01:31 you will find the direct link to this card.
- 01:34 And again, we can copy and paste this link, put it in an email,
- 01:39 put it in an instant message, we can put it in a document, and then when
- 01:44 those individuals click on this link, they will be brought directly to this card.
- 01:50 Once again, we're reminded of the privacy settings for this card,
- 01:55 and since we are still engaged in a private board,
- 01:58 only members who have access to this board will be able to access this card directly.
- 02:04 But you may be managing a public board, and
- 02:07 therefore anyone who has access to this link would be able to access this
- 02:12 card wherever you have placed it in an external form of communication,
- 02:17 but Trello also allows us to go one step further.
- 02:21 And let's say I'd like to reference just a component of a Trello card.
- 02:26 Let's open up this Submit speaking proposal card.
- 02:30 You can see in the activity feed, below each and every activity,
- 02:36 there is a timestamp, and this signifies when this attachment was uploaded,
- 02:42 and this signifies when these comments were made.
- 02:46 Well, by right-clicking on these links, you can copy and paste such a link and
- 02:52 then again, place it in some other form of external communication.
- 02:57 So if I'd like to reference this question, or
- 03:00 maybe I'd like to remind someone of this question, and they seem to be
- 03:05 interacting with me quite frequently over email, I can copy and paste this link so
- 03:11 they can come back and see directly this question within this card.
- 03:16 So get comfortable finding where the direct links are, both for
- 03:21 your Trello board, for a Trello card, and for specific components within a card.
